Attend the Annual CCP Meeting on October 28th @ 6:30 in the PAC. If unable to attend, view the Annual Meeting Presentation (with your parents) on the Guidance Department’s website
Join the Google Classroom: jjxtt5n (you can add a parent as an advisor)
Step Two:
Sign and return the following forms (from our participation packet posted in GC) by April 1st:
Intent to Participate
Transcript Request Form
Signature Form (Akron Only)
Parent Permission Form (Akron Only)
Counseling Session Form (Session provided through annual meeting)
Other colleges may require additional forms
Step Three:
Submit an application to the college using the college website, applying as a first year student under admissions. Indicate dual enrollment/CCP .
Take the proper assessment (ACT, SAT, Accuplacer) to enroll in classes with the college of your choice. (This can be completed any time prior to April 15th)
18 English ACT to enroll in Comp 1/comp2
22 Reading ACT (may accept below 22) to enroll in Psych, Soc, Gov- most classes
Accuplacer offered at Wayne College if the ACT is not an option or higher score needed- students must be accepted prior to taking the Accuplacer. Students are encouraged to take the Accuplacer by April 15th to enroll in classes at WHS.
Juniors will take the Wadsworth ACT during the school day in spring 2025
Spanish 3 students will take an online placement test to take CCP Spanish.
Step Five:
If accepted, students MUST complete orientation to be enrolled in classes. Information will be available in late April. Wadsworth Provides orientation during the school day in May for Wayne College.
Scheduling: Requesting a CCP class does not indicate acceptance or enrollment. Students must follow the above steps.
