Wadsworth High School welcomes military families!  We’re dedicated to supporting students and families with ties to our nation’s armed forces. We want every military family to know we are here to help, encourage, and provide the resources they need for success.

National Military Family Association

NMFA meets the immediate needs of America's military families with programs designed to support their family's financial security, well-being, and quality of life, including scholarships for military spouses, support and skill development for military teens, and summer camps for military kids in areas with the highest financial stress.

Ohio Inter-Service Family Assistance Coalition

ISFAC is a state-level committee of regional, state, and federal agencies and organizations that meet to collaborate and align resources in support of Ohio troops and military families.

Military Child Education Coalition

MCEC helps children growing up in military families by providing them, their parents, and professionals with programs, resources, and guidance—helping the child stay on course academically, socially, and emotionally.

Offers help with parenting, child care, education, relocation, financial and legal concerns, and everyday issues.

Federal Student Aid

Both the federal government and nonprofit organizations offer money for college to veterans, future military personnel, active-duty personnel, or those related to veterans or active-duty personnel.

Department of Defense Education Activity

The Curriculum and Instruction Division provides leadership and support to the districts and school levels to help educators and students achieve excellence. Curriculum and Instruction envisions an environment of equitable learning where all students have equal access to participate in and benefit from educational opportunities.

Military Academy Nominations

To be considered for admission to the Air Force Academy, U.S. Military Academy, Naval Academy, and Merchant Marine Academy, an individual must have a nomination either through a Member of the House of Representatives or United States Senate or a military service connection.

Selective Service System

Mission: To register men and maintain a system that, when authorized by the President and Congress, rapidly provides personnel in a fair and equitable manner while managing an alternative service program for conscientious objectors.
